Communities that we service include

Falmouth - The town of Falmouth was established here in 1727 at the falls of the Rappahannock River. One of Virginia's busiest ports during the 18th and early 19th centuries, the town offered a tobacco inspection station, tobacco and cotton warehouses, flour mills, a ferry, and stores.

Ferry Farm - The Washingtons called this place the Home Farm but it later became known as Ferry Farm because people crossed the Rappahannock River on a ferry from the farm to the town of Fredericksburg.

Fredericksburg - During the Civil War, Fredericksburg, located halfway between the capitals of the opposing forces, was the site of the Battle of Fredericksburg and Second Battle of Fredericksburg. These battles are preserved, in part, as the Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park.

Ladysmith - The community may have been named after Ladysmith, in South Africa. A more likely scenario is that the community was given the name of Clara Smith's mother, original owner of the site.

Ruther Glen - Chesterfield (Ruther Glen) was an important trade center for St. Margaret's Parish, originally part of King William County. When the Parish became part of Caroline, the settlement remained the chief commercial center of the Parish and attracted settlers from all sections of the parish district.

Spotsylvania - Known as the “Crossroads of the Civil War,” four major Civil War battles were fought on Spotsylvania soil including one of the bloodiest of the war, the Battle of Spotsylvania Courthouse, in May 1864. It was during this battle that the clash between the armies of Ulysses S. Grant and Robert E. Lee (known as the “Bloody Angle”) took place.

Thornburg - According to the Geographic Names Information System, Thornburg has also been known as Mudd Tavern and Thornsburg throughout its history.
